Here are some images from Horsetooth Technologies LLC's "Experience Copper" project. Dave Krenitsky did the embossed-copper image. Other members of HT LLC did the buildings. I did everything else. Right-click on any picture and select "View image" (or whatever your browser says) to see the full 800x600 picture.
Title Screen
That's a photo of Union Peak (center) and Jacque Peak
(upper left), taken from Copper Peak.
The photo is property of Copper Mountain resort,
reproduced here without their permission. Now look
at the next two pictures.
Same scene, embossed copper version
This is one of the Effects tools in GIMP 2.0.
Same scene, simulator screenshot
This is a recreation of the title screen photograph,
taken directly from our simulation. Not property
of Copper Mountain at all - this is HT's work.

Skier Model Stopping
The skier was modeled using MilkShape 3D.
He's displayed here using Torque ShowTool Pro.
Those are Atomic Metron X2 skis, Salomon Scream poles,
a Spyder racing suit, and, er, blue socks.
I never got around to adding the Garmont boots.
That might be John Denver's face, too,
but the head is the wrong shape for JD.
Resort with superimposed route map
I wanted to see how well our routes matched Copper's own route map.
I used PaintShop Pro 9.0 to paste an official route map on top
of our mountain.
